JESSICA ADKINS
CO-OWNER
DNP, CNS, RN, CPNP-PC, BC-ADM
Jessica graduated in March of 2018 with a doctorate of Nursing Practice, with an emphasis on diabetes. She obtained a dual certification master’s as a Clinical Nurse Specialist and Pediatric Nurse Practitioner in 2006, from the University of South Alabama. For the past 12 years, she has worked as a pediatric nurse practitioner in both private practice and in a hospital-based clinic. Eight years prior to opening Everyday Diabetes Center, she was hired into a position in Savannah to create and manage a pediatric diabetes center. She is a member of the AADE and NAPNAP.
KRIS BRITT
CO-OWNER
BSN, RN, CDE, CPT
With a diverse education background, this husband and father of four changed careers when his oldest son, Carter, was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes at the age of 6. He graduated with a music education degree in 2006 and from nursing school in 2014. He spent his first season of nursing in a level one trauma center and then made the transition to the world of diabetes.
His passion for education and a strong desire to help patients and families navigate the often choppy waters of diabetes drives him each and every day. Kris is a member of the AADE, has served on the ACDES professional practice committee, & is co-founder of T1D Revolution.
TERESA CORBITT
FRONT OFFICE MANAGER
Born and raised in southeast Georgia, Teresa has a passion for serving others. She has climbed the career ladder through the ranks of the business world. She has over thirty years of experience in finance, insurance, customer service, switchboard operator, team lead and office coordinator. She strives to better herself and puts forth her best effort to provide world class experience to the people she serves.
ALLIE LUCAS
MEDICAL ASSISTANT
Allie is a 2022 graduate of Life Springs Christian Academy. She described herself as a 'nurturer at heart'. She'll tell you that she knew that she would one day go into the medical field. Allie was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes at the age of 9. Though her journey hasn’t always been easy she feels uniquely qualified to relate to others with diabetes. She believes that God has planted her in the medical field and plans to further her education when the time comes.
BRENNA MUDGE

Brenna is a writer and visual storytelling artist based in Savannah, GA. She spent four years studying Sequential Art at Savannah College of Art and Design. After 2016 she went back to school at Armstrong State University (now Georgia Southern University) and received her BFA in Visual Arts in 2019. Endeavoring to love and serve others is the underlying goal for whatever she pursues. In her spare time she enjoys trying new recipes, writing, drawing, and spending time with her husband and chowski.
KRISTEN O'DELL
DIETITIAN
MS, RD, CDE
Kristen is a Registered Dietitian, Certified Diabetes Education & Care Specialist, wife and mother of 2. She has been living with type 1 diabetes for over 2 decades.
Despite her resistance to anything diabetes related after her diagnosis
and many challenging years in between, diabetes has been the driving
force behind her pursuing a career in health care and has led to a
healthy, thriving life with diabetes.
She earned her Master’s degree in Dietetics at D’Youville College.
Kristen has worked in various roles as a dietitian, but her most cherished is for Children with Diabetes planning their conferences and creating content for CWD Eats.
Now at Everyday Diabetes Center she is offering nutrition counseling on navigating food and the ups and downs of life (and blood sugars). She is excited to meet with you face to face (or computer screen to computer screen) to provide encouragement and support.
JOANNE RINKER
DIETITIAN
MS, RDN, BC-ADM, CDCES, LDN, FADCES
Joanne Rinker is a Master’s level dietitian and has been a registered dietitian and certified diabetes care and education specialist for over 20 years and passed her Board Certification as an Advanced Diabetes Manager in 2022. Rinker worked on the implementation and facilitation of the North Carolina Diabetes Education Recognition Program. As the program coordinator, Joanne was instrumental in building the largest American Diabetes Association (ADA) recognized site in the nation.
In 2012, Joanne was named the American Association of Diabetes Educators (AADE) 2013 Diabetes Educator of the Year and used that opportunity to spread the word about the relationship between diabetes, hearing loss and depression.
Joanne is the Associate Director of Medical Education at Mannkind Corp. Her role includes overseeing CME events and opportunities, building relationships with external partners, serving as the liaison for the field team and the medical education team and building a medical education strategy.
At Everyday Diabetes Center, Joanne sees clients virtually and uses medical nutrition therapy to improve their quality of life, reach their health related goals and maximize their health potential.
EDC is supported by an M.D. who helps to coordinate care in day-to-day operations. We also have a consulting endocrinologist who serves our patients on an as-needed basis.
